Sorry it's been a while

I'm not keeping up with these posts already!
But I've had quite a busy week..

Monday was my 12 week scan and baby measured 12 weeks and 1 day which was exactly what is calculated.

He/she was stubborn like their parents and it took 5 goes to try and get them in a viewable position! 5 goes being, covered in gel, prodded and told to get up and jump around the room before repeated said routine. At one point I questioned whether I was being videoed because being told to jump around the room with my trousers undone, blue tissue hanging out of my knickers and gel all over my stomach wasn't how I had envisioned the appointment. But in the end we saw this little beauty!!

Things suddenly felt real when we saw a little nose, and lips and an ear! And he or she even waved at us, all thought not in a "hello parents!!" way in a "piss off and stop disturbing me" way after I'd been jumping around. But, all the same!

Anyway, that was Monday so I've gotta make an excuse for the other 4 days of the week!

Basically we spent Monday night telling all of my fiancées family: parents, step parents and grandparents and there was just one more set of people to tell.. My family.

Now is probably the time to say all of my fiancées family had children in their twenties so to them what we're doing is normal.. However, my strict parents have different ideas they believe in waiting until your 30s to have children and there's always been a lot of pressure on me on getting a successful career so being grandparents isn't on their list of things they want.

My dads been working away so I told my mum on Wednesday and to say it didn't go well was probably and understatement.. She essentially cried and asked me to leave. Oh dear. Later she said one thing to me and it was that I should let her tell my dad.

I know my dads home now and she will have told him more than 24 hours ago but i haven't heard anything from either of them so I'm guessing it's not good news..

My sickness also returned Thursday night and continued all day Friday in time to interrupt an exam I had on Friday which I can only describe as interrogation which I merely replied to with "give me a second" and walking coolly to the door before sprinting to a toilet. Smooth.

My tiredness is still going but I think it's because my body isn't used to waking up in the night to pee and so it's not used to broken sleep. That and the pre-Wednesday telling my parents nightmares didn't help.

Other than that I haven't had many pregnancy symptoms just wind (from the upper body before anyone vomits in disgust) but the issue is that I have never in my memorable life had the ability to burp. This means wind doesn't go down well and it's resulting in me vomiting after every meal, hiccuping 24 hours a day and having to take windeze tablets which for anyone who doesn't know has the same ingredient we give to baby's with colic haha! This is found highly humorous by my mother in law who has diagnosed me with colic and keeps offering to wind me!

I haven't got a bump yet I don't think I'm just boated and feeling and looking whale like right now in my opinion but I'm going to upload pictures weekly to see how things change.

This was my pre-pregnant state which your own can see I wasn't thin anyway!

And this was at 11 weeks and 2 days pregnant. Looking fat.

Anyway, I'm gonna try and do weekly updated on here so bare with me!

hello!

I thought I'd do a brief introduction to this blog, and my plans with it.

I'm a 20 year old student who found out that she's pregnant 6 weeks ago, and to say it was a surprise is an understatement. Since then, I've gone through a whirl wind of emotions relating to the pregnancy and everything else to do with life because I know that in just over 6 months it will all change.

This baby was planned. ish. me and my partner has agreed we wanted a baby and we'd took all the necessary steps to be attempting to make one.. or at least stopped taking the necessary steps to prevent one.. but at the same time, a year after initially coming to this decision I didn't expect it to happen.

This blog is going to be a place for me to express my many, many emotions during this time and hopefully help me make sense of them along with seeing how I change over the next 6 months plus. If people in a similar situation were to end up reading it, then that would just be an added bonus.

Oh, and it's going to stay relatively anonymous for the time being because I haven't told my family yet! uh-oh!!

Anyway, it's becoming a bit of a ramble now.. so I'm sure you'll be hearing A LOT more from me.
